The Private Collection of Vintage Bags by StrangebutCool is home to over 350 vintage handbags spanning 87 years of fashion history, assembled over 25 years by our founder, Tina Lim. Housed in a heritage Peranakan shophouse in George Town, it exists nowhere else on earth —  a living record of how the objects we carry tell the truest stories about who we are.

How often does the collection change?

While our core collection remains constant, we rotate displayed pieces twice a year and occasionally change bags on special occasions. Every visit offers something new to discover.

Selected pieces are available to purchase, exclusively in our store at The Private Collection. If a particular bag speaks to you, simply ask our team during your visit and we'll be glad to share what's available.
