A Visit Unlike Any Other.
Georgetown holds its history differently from other cities. Its streets are unhurried, its shophouses still carry the scent of a century ago. Within one of them, at 3 Lebuh Klang, lives a collection that exists nowhere else on earth.
Over 350 vintage handbags. 87 years of fashion history. Assembled over 25 years by one woman who believed that the objects we carry tell the truest stories about who we are.
A visit to The Private Collection is not sightseeing. It is a conversation with fashion history — intimate, unhurried, and unlike anything else Penang offers.

Georgetown
A city that remembers.
Penang's old town earned its place on the UNESCO World Heritage List through survival and restoration. Georgetown is one of the few cities in Southeast Asia where the layers of history are still visible — genuinely present in its Peranakan shophouses, five-foot ways, and hand-painted tiles, and its people.
Walk its streets and the layers reveal themselves. The iron rod sculptures and murals of Armenian Street. A Sri Hindu temple, a mosque, and an Anglican church standing within minutes of each other — Georgetown's particular quality of coexistence made visible in stone.
The Private Collection sits inside this world deliberately. A heritage Peranakan house, on a heritage street, in a heritage city. The collection and its setting are in conversation with each other. Neither would mean quite the same thing somewhere else.
